Oxford University

Erin attended a state school in Oxfordshire and she received an unconditional undergraduate offer to read History and English at Oxford University.

She studied at Pembroke College and specialised in the 1450-1650s, writing her thesis on the culture of cross-dressing in the early modern theatres. After graduating, she was offered a place to study Archaeology MSt, also at Pembroke College Oxford but did not take the place in order to prioritise her rowing career.

Ongoing Projects

Erin is a passionate academic and an advocate for access to education for all.

Alongside her training, Erin has worked for start-ups and small businesses encouraging and supporting students with their studies to help them access higher education. She also volunteers her time to help students with their applications to top universities.

Erin loves history and is keen to encourage children to engage with history at a young age. Before her diagnosis, she was researching a history non-fiction book for children about the fascinating deaths of forgotten individuals in history.
