Paralympic Selection

I am delighted to announce that I have been selected to represent Great Britain at the postponed 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. I have been selected to cox the Mix4+ alongside the same athletes I have been training with since 2019, when we won the World Championships and broke the World Best Time.

I am just so pleased that our work, dedication and resilience throughout the past few years have paid off and we are now officially selected and can turn our attention to the final preparations into Tokyo.

In the stroke seat is Ollie Stanhope who is a Hampton School alumni and a silk merchant in the stern. Backing him up is in the only returning Rio Paralympian in the 4+, James Fox. James (known as Foxy) is a force to be reckoned with and an exceptional athlete. In 2 is Giedrė Rakauskaitė, also making her Paralympic debut and one of the strongest, hardest workers I know! Last but by no means least is Ellen Buttrick in the Bow Seat, who made her World Championship debut in the same year as me. Nobody is more dedicated or strives for perfection more than Ellen! Nick Baker continues to coach the boat and we can’t wait to get out there and race!

Shout out also to my fellow teammates... Lauren Rowles and Laurence Whiteley are returning Paralympic Champions in the PR2 2x and are looking to stamp their mark on this year’s regatta and take home another gold. Ben Pritchard is making his Paralympic debut in the PR1 M1x and is ready to tear up the field and take home the win.
