Gavirate 2022
Gavirate International Regatta was a big one this year, it was the first international performance of the Mix4+ this cycle and even better, it was the international rowing debut for a number of teammates, including two rowers in the 4+ and another coxswain, trialling against me.
Women’s Head 2022
It was brilliant to be back racing Women’s Head with my home club Leander and even better to get the opportunity to race with such talented athletes!
The countdown to Paris 2024
And just like that, we are back. I have had a brilliant few months off - after Tokyo, I needed to take some time to decompress, spend time with friends and family and to be honest, process what had happened over the past year or so.
Tokyo 2020 - Heats
It has been a relief to complete our first run down the track in Tokyo and start the campaign with a comfortable win in our heat.
Sea Forest Waterway - Tokyo
We are now rowing at the Paralympic regatta venue - the Sea Forest Waterway, just a stones throw from the Village! It is very surreal to be here finally after such a long wait. I was really nervous to get down there and start training to be honest, we had heard so much about the challenging conditions and we were only permitted 5 days on the course prior to our competition starting.
Paralympic Holding Camp - Japan
We have arrived in Japan! 9 athletes, 4 support staff and about 40 pieces of luggage all made the trip safely and we were well looked after by British Airways. It is amazing to finally be here and start our final taper towards racing.
Paralympic Prep Camp - UK
Today we begin our final phase of preparation as we move towards the postponed Paralympic Games in August 2021. Usually, we would be headed to the sunny climbs of Northern Italy, to our European home-from-home, Varese however the pandemic had other ideas.
Guinness World Record
Childhood dreams were realised today when we were awarded our Guinness World Record, recognising the achievement of the Mix 4+ at the 2019 World Championships when we broke the World Record in our event in Linz, Austria.
